Spray Painting Screws

As you saw in our guest room, we spray painted some of our door hardware a bronze metallic.  I really didn't want to spray the threads of the screw, because I was worried that paint would get stuck in them and be a nuisance.  So I seriously did the easiest thing ever to avoid this.

First, take one piece of standard printer paper, and fold it into fourths (or really any paper that works, for that matter).
Then, fold into a triangle and tape the sides.
Then simply poke your screws through the paper.

Then, just spray the screws and you won't end up with any mess on the threads.  It worked so well! Hope this helps!
